You probably have
seen those giant whales break out the water surface and destroy a whole fleet
of ships in fantasy type movies. But for sure not much of you have seen it in
real, have you? Well, there is a reason for them to put it in art. Because the
way those massive fish come out of the water like small mountains appearing in
the middle of sea is really fascinating.
It is fascinating
as much as it is terrifying when it appears right next to your boat. That is
exactly what happened to the fisherman on these photos which took by the
photographer Douglas Craft.
He was on a whale-watching boat on Monterey Bay little far from Californian
coast trying to take some quality photos of those giant marine life. Clearly,
he wasn’t planning on take a photo like this.
When they saw a
stir on water surface, Douglas
went below the deck to shoot from a porthole close to the waterline. That is
what gave these photos this unique perspective of looking up at the whale. He
must have hoping to take a peek at whatever coming out of the water.
He was stunned for
a moment when he saw a giant humpback whale leaping out of the water like a
giant rock. Only because of his experience in the field he quickly overcame the
shock and took what happen to be the once-in-a-lifetime photograph.

had help from a whale watcher Kate Cummings who managed to capture an awesome
video of the scene which you can see below.
