Caring Dolphin Brings Treasure From The Bottom Of The Ocean In Exchange For Fish Treats

Nature is full of marvells and is home for a number of fascinating things and creatures. This is one of the best examples to prove it.

This is a story of an adorable dolphin which showered ocean goodies in return for the treats that were given by the volunteers at the Barnacles Center.

Dolphins are well-known for their intelligence. They are quite friendly creatures that have the ability to build up complex relationships. They have the talent to use both verbal as well as gestural signs to communicate with others. Dolphins carry the intelligence of the aquatic mammals to a higher level than expected.

Mystique is one such lovely male humpback dolphin that is 29-years-old. It's one of the favourites at the male Barnacles Café and Dolphin Feeding center on Queensland’s Cooloola Coast. It lives near Tin Can Bay near the Sunshine Coast, which is a famous location for tourists. Mystique charms its visitors with great ocean treasures. Some of the gifts that it came up with are shells, corals, antique bottles and timber.

But it has started missing companions since the quarantine season.

The dolphin feeding volunteer Lyn McPherson shared: “He gets under it and if he drops it too far out, or we say ‘come on, that’s not good enough’, then he gets underneath it and brings it to us.” Volunteers are sure that it has a buried treasure of his own as there isn't a shortage of gifts from him.

The generous staff of the center rewards him with delicious fish treats for its amazing effort. Mystique's this behaviour has increased with the loss of the visitors. It seems as if the humans aren't the only ones who are in need of special attention and love. Isn't that so? “Since we’ve been closed to the public he has been doing it more and more. Sometimes he will bring 10, one at a time, and he will line them up as he has to get fish,” McPherson continued. Altogether, there are 7 dolphins in the feeding center, but mystique is the one and only creature with such a generous behaviour.
