Art is
everywhere; it recognizes no bounds, no time, and no place. Artists have the
ability to breathe life into anything they touch; their inventiveness knows no
bounds, and we appreciate all of the artwork in the world.
A
passionate felted wool artist resides somewhere in Khabarovsk, Russia, who
creates the prettiest forest animals that look like they came straight out of a
Disney movie and give you the sensation that you've never seen anything like it
before. Yulia Derevschikova is her name, and she's been doing this since 2015.
She's made over a hundred of these cute little critters over the years, and she
doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
Yulia
implement a felted wool method that is related but not identical to wool
felting. Threading and weaving are used in this dry felting method to give the
wool more puffiness and softness.
She expressed herself, “Wool is a natural
material which over time will not lose its properties, unlike faux fur. A toy
made of wool is hypoallergenic since it does not contain microorganisms that
can affect sensitive skin. Dry felting technology allows you to save an ideal
new condition of toy for a long time. Wool toys are durable and can be passed
on from generation to generation without losing their pleasant appearance.”
Yulia uses a needle to glue the woolen
fibers together, giving her wonderful animals the appearance of actual fur. Her
paintings are a wonderful blend of reality and elegance. You can't get enough
of their googly eyes and charming little features since the fur appears so
natural.
She only requires 20 hours of your time
to make you fall in love with her art.
