Dad with Extreme Body Modifications Undergoes Dramatic Transformation for His Daughter

Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble, a 24-year-old from Australia, once made headlines for his extreme body modifications and tattoos that covered nearly every inch of his skin. Known for his unique appearance, Ethan had over 200 tattoos and underwent various surgeries to alter his body, including tongue splitting and belly button removal. However, the proud father has since decided to embark on a journey of transformation—for the sake of his daughter.

The Beginning of a Radical Journey

Ethan’s journey into body modification began at the tender age of 11 when he stretched his ears for the first time. Over the years, he added more tattoos and underwent a range of body-altering procedures, eventually earning the nickname “ModBoy.”

While his tattoos were a way of expressing himself, Ethan later admitted that he had gone too far. The modifications, which cost him around $60,000 AUD (approximately $39,000 USD), became a source of regret and internal conflict.

“I guess you could say I regret some tattoos,” Ethan shared in an interview on LadBibleTV’s No Filter series. “Not just regret, I think there’s a difference between regret and wanting to be perceived differently.”

The Turning Point: Fatherhood

Fatherhood brought a new perspective to Ethan’s life. He began to notice the judgmental stares and assumptions people made when they saw him with his daughter. This, coupled with his growing anxiety, led him to reevaluate his choices.

“The face is a big thing that can lead to so many problems… I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with [those judgments] until she was a bit older,” Ethan explained.

He realized that his appearance could affect not only his own life but also his daughter’s. Determined to change for her sake, Ethan decided to undergo a dramatic transformation, beginning with laser removal of his face tattoos.

The Painful Process of Tattoo Removal

Removing tattoos, especially ones as extensive as Ethan’s, is no easy task. For the past 12 months, he has been undergoing laser treatment, a painful and time-consuming process.

“We do it in sections, but I’ve probably gone over the full thing six or seven times,” Ethan shared.

Despite the discomfort, Ethan is committed to the process. He described how the decision to lighten his face tattoos has already had a positive impact on his mental health.

“I started getting it done because of the anxiety and stuff I was getting… Mental stuff is a funny thing to pin down, but I want to think that a lot of the anxiety was from just having a face full of tattoos,” he explained.

A New Chapter

As Ethan continues his journey of transformation, he’s finding a balance between embracing his past and looking forward to a brighter future. “I’m happy with the way that I look, but I’m also happy with the mentality that over the next two years, my face tattoos are going to become less and less and less,” he said.

This decision isn’t about erasing his past but rather about creating a fresh canvas and setting a positive example for his daughter.

An Inspiring Message

Ethan’s story resonates with many people who have grappled with decisions made in their youth. It’s a reminder that transformation is always possible, no matter how far you’ve come.

His openness about his regrets, mental health struggles, and motivation to change highlights the importance of self-reflection and growth. By choosing to transform his appearance, Ethan is sending a powerful message to his daughter—and the world—about the importance of self-improvement and love.
