Lauren
Alaina, a country singer, canceled her upcoming shows to mourn the death of her
father.
The
singer of “Road Less Traveled” shared the news on social media, writing, “I really
don’t have words yet.”
The
former American Idol contestant told her fans about it on Wednesday.
Her
Instagram post started, “We lost my dad last night, and I really don’t have
words yet.”
“I
want to let y’all know that I’m not able to play the three shows I had
scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte as I am
going home to be with my family.”
At
the end of her speech, she thanked her fans for their “prayers and
understanding.”
After
the news came out, a lot of country music stars posted comments to show their
sympathy.
Jake
Owen, a country singer, wrote, “I’m so sorry for your loss, Lauren.” “Love and
strength from my family to you.”
“I’m
really sorry, sweetheart. MacKenzie Porter wrote, “We will pray for you and
your family.”
In
her condolence message, Martina McBride said, “Sending you so much love.”
At
this point, no one knows for sure what killed her father.
Before
she found out about her dad’s death, Lauren was on tour with Jason Aldean.

The
Georgia Peaches singer paid tribute to her “old man” for Father’s Day just a
few weeks before her father died.
“Happy
Fathers Day to “my old man” with a heart the size of Texas!!” She wrote about
it on Instagram.
“I
love you so much daddy and hope you have the best day fishin’.”
In
the end, she said, “Love, your turd (pinky).”
There
were cute pictures of the two of them on Lauren’s wedding day with the post.
After
seeing Lauren’s wedding dress for the first time, the photographer took a
picture of her dad in tears.
She
got married to Cam Arnold on February 4 of this year.
