Christian
Oliver, known for his roles in Speed Racer and The Good German, and his two
daughters tragically died in a plane crash in the Caribbean, as reported by the
police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Authorities
detailed that the incident took place on Thursday, west of Petit Nevis island
near Bequia, while the plane was en route to St. Lucia. The single-engine
aircraft reportedly encountered issues early in the flight before crashing into
the sea.
“Moments
after taking off, the aircraft experienced difficulties and plummeted into the
ocean,” investigators said.

to a statement from the Royal SVG Police Force, local divers, fishermen, and
coast guard members promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
Military
personnel later recovered the bodies of the plane's occupants: Christian
Oliver, his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, along with the pilot and owner
of the aircraft, Robert Sachs from Bequia.
The
cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Deadline
reported that the actor had recently completed filming his final scenes for the
upcoming movie *Forever Hold Your Peace*. The director, Nick Lyon, shared a
photo on Instagram of himself and Oliver late Thursday night.

wrote, noting that he and Oliver collaborated on five projects over the years.

Lyon
also described Oliver as "a brave actor and a beautiful person."

laughter, and adventurous spirit shared by Madita and Annik will be profoundly
missed in their communities."
