Prince
Harry was reportedly brought to tears upon discovering that his older brother,
Prince William, has been appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, a
position Harry previously held. This announcement by Buckingham Palace has
deeply impacted Harry, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.
The
news is a significant blow to Harry, who reportedly views William as a
contributing factor to his difficulties. Fitzwilliams remarked, “Harry needs to
understand that betraying the family means you don't just escape the duties you
disliked as a working royal; you also forfeit the things you cherished.”
Despite
this setback, Prince Harry has demonstrated resilience. At a recent event
marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, he proudly wore the KCVO
Neck Order and Star, an honor given to him by Queen Elizabeth II. Royal author
Tom Quinn suggests that this gesture was Harry's way of asserting his value and
reminding his family of his significant contributions.
The
timing of William’s new title has fueled speculation about the already tense
relationship between Harry and their father, King Charles III. Despite public
interest, Harry’s recent visit to the U.K. did not include a meeting with his
father, intensifying scrutiny and criticism of the King’s priorities.
Prince
Harry's emotions are understandable; anyone would feel upset when a significant
role or title is taken away. It's important to remember that family dynamics
and responsibilities within the royal household can be quite complex.
