As
King Charles undergoes weekly cancer treatments in London, his son Prince
William has taken it upon himself to stand in for his father and carry out
royal duties on behalf of the crown.
Moreover,
William is also occupied with supporting his wife as she recuperates from her
scheduled abdominal surgery and caring for their children, Prince George,
Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Recently,
William attended an event to raise funds for London's Air Ambulance. During the
event, he expressed gratitude for the support shown to his wife and father,
stating, "Thank you for the kind messages of support for Catherine and for
my father, especially in recent days."
Among
the other attendees was actor Tom Cruise, with whom the Prince shared a
light-hearted joke, advising him not to "borrow" any of the
helicopters.
"If
you wouldn’t mind refraining from borrowing either of the new helicopters for
the next Mission Impossible, it would be appreciated," the Prince quipped.
"We've
all noticed on our screens that, how shall I put it, you seem to have a unique
perspective on what constitutes normal wear and tear compared to the rest of
us," he remarked.

Discussing
the significance of the event, William remarked, "It's safe to say the
past few weeks have been rather medically oriented. So I thought I'd attend an
air ambulance function to take a break from it all!"
"But,
on a serious note, we're gathered here tonight to support as many people as possible
in accessing top-notch care through the invaluable services of London Air
Ambulance. Having served as a pilot for East Anglia Air Ambulance, I understand
firsthand the critical importance of the work performed by air ambulance teams
nationwide. The ability to provide urgent medical care wherever injury occurs
can truly make a life-saving difference."
"Here
in London, the current aircraft have performed admirably. However, our capital
city requires a new fleet, and time is of the essence. The urgency is evident
in the name of the Appeal itself. By September, we aim to have two new red
helicopters, equipped with state-of-the-art features like night vision,
operating in our skies."

During
his treatment, King Charles will not be attending public events. Between
appointments, he is residing at the Sandringham estate.
The
specifics of his cancer diagnosis have not been disclosed to the public.
