When
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston parted ways, the world fell silent. Yet, despite
fans' devastation over the end of their romance, there was equal anticipation
to see how the off-screen relationship between the Once Upon a Time in
Hollywood star and actress Angelina Jolie would unfold in reality.
Eventually,
Brad and Angelina became a thing.
Unfortunately,
the couple ended their relationship years later, with Jolie filing for divorce
in 2016. This decision came shortly after reports surfaced of an alleged
incident involving Pitt and the couple's oldest son, Maddox, on the family's
private plane.
While
the specifics remain unclear, the alleged child abuse incident was thoroughly
investigated by both the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family
Services. According to US Weekly, Pitt was promptly cleared of any child abuse
allegations.
The
divorce and protracted custody dispute between Pitt and Jolie are often cited
as one of the most acrimonious in recent memory among celebrity couples.

On
January 21, 2021, Jolie sent an email to her ex-husband, which later became
public. In the email, she expresses that she writes "with a heavy
heart," informing Pitt of her decision to sell Miraval, "a business
that is centered around alcohol." Many speculate that this is a reference
to the aforementioned plane incident, during which Pitt allegedly had a
physical altercation with Maddox and then purportedly consumed alcohol in the
presence of Jolie and the children.
The
Maleficent star added, "Even now, it's impossible to write this without
crying."
"Above
all, it is the place we brought the twins home to, and where we were married
over a plaque in my mother’s memory. A place…where I thought I would grow old….
But it is also the place that marks the beginning of the end of our
family," she lamented.
"Miraval,
for me, died in September 2016," she continued, "and everything I
have seen in the years since has sadly confirmed that."
In
February 2021, Pitt agreed to pay Jolie $54.5 million to buy out her stake in
Miraval. However, their ongoing divorce proceedings had an impact on the
business deal.
She
provided sealed documents containing information about the plane incident,
prompting Pitt to request that Jolie sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This
NDA prohibited her from discussing Pitt's personal conduct toward her or the
family outside of court, as a condition for the sale of the property.
Jolie
dubbed the request an “unconscionable gag order.”

However,
Pitt presented his request as crucial for the sale, emphasizing the need to
"ensure the seller doesn't diminish the value of the asset after receiving
payment for it."
On
October 5, 2021, Jolie Nouvel, the holding company that held her shares in
Miraval, sold them to Tenute del Mondo, the wine division of the Stoli group
owned by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, for $67 million.
"It's
not a coincidence that she sold her interest in Miraval to an adversarial party
and part of the family home to a stranger, shortly after a judge granted Brad a
significant victory: 50-50 custody," a source close to Pitt revealed to ET
Online. John Ouderkirk, the judge who had granted Pitt joint custody, was later
disqualified from the case by a panel of three judges, and his ruling was
overturned.
In
February 2022, Pitt initiated legal action against his ex-partner, her holding
company, and the new proprietors of Miraval, alleging that Jolie had made no
contributions to Miraval's success. Stoli responded by filing a counterclaim
"for the illegal and malicious actions of Pitt and his associates, aimed
at harming Nouvel by diminishing its investments and denying it its rightful
role in the administration of Chateau Miraval, the globally renowned producer
of rosé wine."
On
June 1, 2023, Pitt submitted an amended complaint aiming to reverse Jolie's
sale of Nouvel.
"Brad
has taken ownership of everything he's accountable for since day one, but he
won't take responsibility for anything he didn't do," stated Anne Kiley,
representing Pitt.

Following
the fuss surrounding their divorce, Pitt has moved on and is now dating someone
else.
"Brad
is very cautious and deliberate about his choice of partners. He prefers to
take things slowly and let relationships develop naturally," a source
disclosed.
There
are rumors suggesting that Pitt's new girlfriend is Ines de Ramon, who was
previously married to Paul Wesley of Vampire Diaries fame. Sources close to the
couple claim they are content with maintaining a low-key relationship.
"Brad
and Ines are still spending time together and enjoying themselves. They
appreciate each other's company and share similar interests. They're both
creative, enjoy traveling, and prefer to keep things low-key. They're in a good
place, but Brad isn't in a hurry to rush anything," the source clarified.

According
to Entertainment Tonight, the couple was seen together in December 2022.
"It's still early days, but they're exploring their connection and
enjoying each other's company," a source shared. "They're having a
good time together."
They
were vacationing in Mexico together.
Whether
he has introduced her to his children remains undisclosed, but sources close to
him indicate that she is present when he communicates with his kids.
Ines
was seen wearing a charm necklace featuring the letter B, although it's yet to
be confirmed if it's a tribute to her new romance.
