The more
you think you’ve enjoyed the beauty of the world, the more you go far from the
truth. Perhaps, unicorns are sci-fi creatures. But, the bird you are about to
see in these pics is magical and eye-catching. It exists and it has a striking
rainbow pattern of colours when moving.
The
white-browed tit-warbler is
found in the Himalayas, China, boreal forests and the Tian Shan. These birds
have a purplish-blue coat with a pinkish belly, a chestnut cap and an eyebrow
that looks grey or white. More vibrant colours can be seen in males than the
females. Their weight is between 6 and 8g/ 0.21-0.28 oz. They are 8.5–10 cm
(3.3–3.9 inches) in length.
These birds
are quite attractive as well as very polite. Their tweets sound, “sirrrrrr.”
They live in pairs during the breeding season but join flocks over 25 at the
end. They have a variety of diets that range from seeds to berries and small
insects to spiders.
Fortunately,
the tit-warblers are not
threatened by extinction. The reasons are the lack of local predators in
the nesting areas and the well-camouflaged nests.
